New for Summer 2011: Simple and cost effective website design

Websites are a vital tool in communicating with your supporters, volunteers, clients and customers. A professional and easy to navigate website can make a world of difference and a badly designed and complicated one can drive viewers away in droves. We have taken the hassle out of web design by offering a selection of professionally designed websites for you to choose from - allowing us to provide you with a website in a short space of time.

We have made it easy by providing different packages for you to choose from. Each package comes with a professional design, hosting for a year, pages created for you to load content (or for us to do it if you choose), stock pictures relevant to your business. We can also further customise by adding forums, log in pages, web contact forms or anything else you care to mention.

How to get Started

Our service menu gives examples of what we do.

At the outset of the relationship the client will be asked to complete a questionnaire to highlight areas that they many need assistance in.

The Directors of Claro Management will then work with the client to develop a bespoke support service to fit their particular needs. We can arrange a meeting between our directors and your trustees where we can explore the services required in greater detail. This initial, in depth, meeting is completely free of charge and non-obligatory.

Latest Conference

The 2011 BSHS Annual Conference took place at the University of Exeter from 14–17 July 2011 and started with a buffet lunch on 14 July, followed by a plenary lecture. The conference took place at Queens Building, located on Streatham campus close to the city centre with its magnificent 12th century cathedral. A former private botanical garden and arboretum, Exeter arguably possesses one of the most beautiful campuses in Britain. Accommodation was available on campus with en-suite facilities. The conference dinner was held in Holland Hall, overlooking the Exe valley.

The programme included parallel themed sessions, plenary lectures, education and outreach activities, and a Conference Dinner at Holland Hall overlooking the Exe valley. There were opportunities for delegates to explore the many attractions to be found in the city, including its links with the history of science.

The University of Exeter has a strong presence in interdisciplinary studies of science, especially at the intersection of history of science and history of medicine. Two research centres, the Centre for Medical History and the ESRC Centre for Genomics in Society, bear witness to a vibrant research community. An inclusive conference package will be available.

Exeter is served by fast and comfortable rail and coach connections to major UK destinations. It has an airport with regular direct connections to Amsterdam and Paris as well as UK domestic flights. Another airport nearby served by low cost carriers is Bristol International Airport. The BSHS will be coordinating a car-sharing scheme for those wishing to minimise their transport costs.

Besides the attractions of Exeter, especially its twelfth-century Norman cathedral, the city itself is an ideal base for extending your stay and exploring the spectacular coastlines and moors of Devon and Cornwall, with their many geological and archaeological remains.
